    What about chow mixes? They’re really independent. I adopted my dog when she was 10 mo and she was barking and lunging at other people and dogs already. I avoid taking her to the dog park during the day time. She hasn’t ever wondered off too far where I would have to call her back except for this one time when she went to go take a bathroom break in the corner.
